Yes, It’s Happening: Real Housewives of Rhode Island Is Officially Coming
For anyone who knows me well, this will come as no surprise: I am obsessed with the Real Housewives. It’s honestly one of the only shows I’ve stuck with consistently over the years, and I have absolutely no shame about it. Whether it’s the drama, the over-the-top homes, or the sheer joy of watching grown women throw wine across a table, I’m in.
So, you can imagine how fast my heart skipped when I saw the headline: Real Housewives of Rhode Island is officially a thing. Yes. You read that right.
According to Fun107, the cast has already been spotted filming across Aquidneck Island, with scenes taking place in Newport, Portsmouth, and Middletown. If you’ve lived around here long enough, you probably already know that Newport is a natural fit for Housewives energy. Between the waterfront mansions, social clubs, and summer soirées, it was honestly just a matter of time.
The show is reportedly being produced by Sirens Media, the same company behind Real Housewives of New Jersey, so there’s a strong chance this one will deliver. As for the cast, it hasn’t been officially confirmed, but the Fun107 article dropped a few names of local women who are said to be involved. Let’s just say, Newport’s social scene is about to get a whole lot more attention.
So… just how deep does my Housewives fandom go?
Back in 2018, I was seven months pregnant, and when I found out Lisa Vanderpump was going to be at a liquor store 45 minutes away, I didn’t think twice. I drove there by myself, stood in line, and waited because that’s what you do when you’re committed. And yes, I met Lisa and Pandora Vanderpump that day, and yes, it was everything.
And if that weren’t enough, on our wedding day, my husband surprised me with a personalized video message from Teresa Giudice herself. Honestly, it was one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. What can I say? This franchise is part of my personality at this point.
Needless to say, I’ll be watching.
And you better believe I’ll be reporting back with my thoughts and opinions. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Real estate agents are modern-day marketers, and the Housewives? They’ve been building brands and flipping properties since Season 1.
If you're as excited as I am or just curious what kind of drama Newport is about to serve, you can read the full update on Fun107 here.
