Finder’s Keepers: A Children’s Scavenger Hunt in Dartmouth

by Molly Armando

Looking for something fun to do with the kids before the summer winds down? The Dartmouth Cultural Center has you covered. They are hosting a free scavenger hunt for children ages 3 to 12 and it is the perfect way to get out, explore, and maybe even win a prize.

How it Works

Pick up your scavenger hunt form between Wednesday, August 27 and Saturday, August 30 at the Dartmouth Cultural Center, located at 404 Elm Street.

From there, it is game on. Kids will have a list of items to find around town. Each item can be “captured” in two ways:

  • Snap a picture of the item
  • Or get a signature from the local businessperson where the item is located

The Rules

  • At least 10 items must be found in order to win a prize.
  • Find all 12 items and there is a bonus prize waiting.
  • Completed forms and pictures need to be returned between Thursday, August 28 and Saturday, September 6 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The scavenger items themselves will be on display ahead of time, from Saturday, August 23 to Wednesday, August 27, so you can get a sneak peek.

Why It’s Worth Checking Out

Events like this are what make Dartmouth special. It is not just about prizes, it is about kids running around with their families, exploring local businesses, and getting a taste of what makes our community vibrant and unique.

If you have questions, give the Cultural Center a call at 508-728-606.

So grab the kids, grab a camera, and get ready for some summer adventure. Who knows? They might even come home with more than just a prize, they might discover a new favorite spot in town.
